Hi Shirley: I also have Bartons in Jackson Co., OH. My JAMES BARTON born 21 Feb. 1784 in Co. Down, Ireland, married SARAH [-?-] before 1810, died 16 Mar. 1881 in Franklin Twp., Jackson Co., OH. Sarah was born ca. 1789 in PA, died before the 1880 census was taken. They removed from Washington Co., PA, in 1843 to Franklin Twp., Jackson Co., OH. Their 3 children were: - RACHEL BARTON born in 1810 in PA, married JAMES McCARTNEY 12 Dec. 1844 in Jackson Co. - MARY BARTON born ca. 1821 in Washington Co., PA, married WILLIAM F. SHAEFFER, died before 1855. - GEORGE KYLE BARTON born ca. 1823 in PA, married ELIZABETH [-?-]. Elizabeth was born ca. 1833 in OH. Has anyone run across this gang? If so, please let me know.
