I still have not found anything on my BARTON's. Need information on parents, siblings, and dates for Mary Catherine BARTON....my greatgreat grandmother. Not sure if she was originally from Alabama, but I am assuming she probally was because both husbands were from Jefferson Co. and all her children were born there. Mary Catherine BARTON b. unknown d. unknown, married first John Vincent WILKEY in Jefferson Co., AL., son of Samuel WILKEY and Sara FRANKLIN. Child of Mary BARTON and John WILKEY, Isham Garrett WILKEY, b. 1861, d. 1928. John died during the Civil War and Mary remarried. Second marriage was on June 25, 1865 in Jefferson Co., AL, to John Calvin BEARDEN son of James BEARDEN and Lutricia O'BARR. John referred to Mary as 'Cathy'. Children of Mary BARTON and John BEARDEN: George Mathew b 03/28/1866, Alfred F. & Albert B. (twins) b 01/04/1868, James Thomas b 01/04/1876, Charlie L. b 03/12/1879, Andrew b 08/10/1881, Willy b 05/15/1885 (died age 5), and Mamie M. b 09/04/1902 (died age 1).
