I have traced my mother's father side of the family from Edwin M. Barton born in Franklin co. ?Westville, Ny to David W. Barton and his father was Jerome Barton. Per the census records Jerome was born in VT. I have found him listed in the 1840 census in in either NewHaven or Ferrisburg Addison Co. Vt., he would have been about 20 at that time, but do not know who his parents were. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank Maxine
