I didn't believe anybody knew about us. I have never seen any such discussed on here before, thought we were a well kept secret. All the BARTON info we have is three old musty, dusty magazine type books that were put together by, I guess the NY Genealogy Soc--don't know if they are still in existence or not. They are from back in the 1920s and are titled something like, "Descendants of Solomon Barton." I don't dare look at them or they will fall apart. I hope to scan or photocopy them so I can have the info to look at without it disintergrating in my hands. My FIL was George BARTON, his father was Merrill and beyond that I don't know without looking. Apparently Merrill or his father, I forget which, spent some time in Canada. BTW my husband is also Merrill and my son is George, we like to confuse the issue (G). Just thought I'd put my oar in the water, Ruth Ruth (HOUGHTON) BARTON Westminster,Vermont, USA mrgjb@sover.net
