General William Barton fought in the revolutionary war and was awarded a land grant in VT that later became Barton Vt. He is a direct descendent of Rufus Barton. My family line breaks off here. I am descended from his older half brother Richard. I will be glad to send you what I have as far as dates and info but I do not have any more info on Williams family.
