He is on the 1850 census there, age 21 or 27, wife Susan, age 22 and baby Larkin, age 6/12. They have another son, Andrew. Then, something happens. They both must die. The children were raised by a Frances Barton, probably Aunt, and is with them in 1860 in Harris County. Would love to find how this Thomas Alford fits into the Alford family of Troup County and what happened to them.
