Hi everyone, I'm a new subscriber and I'm hoping that some of you have BARTON interests in the county of Kent, England. My BARTON direct line ended when Elizabeth BARTON married Frederick SCOTT in 1837 in Warehorne, Kent. [After her death in 1863 Frederick with four of their sons emigrated to the USA in 1871 and settled in Effingham Co., Illinois. In 1879 two of the brothers set up the first commercial ice cream factory in Kansas (in Topeka) and it was to remain in business for the next 100 years.] Elizabeth was born in 1815 in Brabourne, Kent, daughter of Solomon BARTON and Macey DUDDY. Solomon was born in Hadlow, Kent and I have all his paternal line living in Hadlow back to Elizabeth's 6g. grandfather John BARTON The Elder (m. Agnes HOLTE) born about 1500. Obviously I would like to get back further, though it's getting difficult now, but I would also like to flesh out more of the side branches. So does anyone have any connections?
