My cousin Shirley Mason of Pickins, SC, has asked me to write an article for the Transylvania Heritage Book Vol. II on Francis and his descendents after they left Swain, NC. I have little information on the his descendents other than his daughter Emma Magdalene Barton Caviness, my grandmother. I do know that Don Neal of Portland, Ore. is a great grandson Mamie Barton Neal and Joan Anderson is a great grand daughter of Otis Milam. They live about 30 miles apart, but, did not know that, until last year, when I got them to meet. I would appreciate any information and photo's you might be able to send me.
