...WOW and THANK YOU CHRISTIE! I did have one of those census...I think David was a few yrs older...but, I didn't have the info on Jacob and Mary from Putnam CO...how did you find that??? David's wife Mary came from Cortlandt...her family lived there a long time I think, as many relatives are buried there. I always thought it strange that when he died 'suddenly' he was buried, not in Cortlandt and not in a cemetery with other Bartons ie family...so, still trying to figure where he is from? Most of the rrotsweb postings speak of Bartons in Va, Tx or Ma and Me. I haven't read any regarding Barton's in New York...are you aware of any "lines" there...?
