I think we know all about that family. I had hoped that a Richard Bn about 1765 was my ancestor but the DNA of someone else proves it is not so. The real expert on that branch is Pam LATTER (nee BARTON) but I'm not sure if she is still on-line I'm sending her a copy. Later I will dig out what we have a send it along. Hello Dick, I think we have communicated in the past about the Barton's from Kent. I do have photo's of St. Margaret's in Bethersden. I seem to be at a dead end with the children of William Barton and Harriett Norton especially Emily. I thought a one time she was my great great grandmother but as it turns out it was Harriett Barton who died 2 years after John Stokes was born. Any info you have would be appreciated. I am looking for William Stokes, John's father, who emigrated to the US in 1879. Can you find a emigration for him and see if he was with anyone else? I found him and Emily Stokes in the 1880 US census living in Minnesota. Son John came to the US in April 1880 and was on the census also.
