She is listed as a niece, age 6, born in Alabama, both parents born in Alabama. The census location is Beat 6, Lamar, Alabama. Both Aaron May and Olive Duke were married several times. Olive Duke was married to Washington Barton in 1862. I haven’t yet found a sibling or relative of Olive or Aaron or Washington who would qualify as the parent of Sarah. I am hoping that finding out more about Sarah might lead me to find out more about the parents of Aaron May.
