Hello Doug and Clark, The Bartons that lived in Pennsylvania that I know about are my gr. grandfathers brother GEORGE W. BARTON b. 1834, New York County. George W. grew up in Liberty, Sullivan County, NY and m. Esther Banker of Susquahanna, PA. They lived in Susquahanna in 1878 at the time of the will of Georges father WILLIAM BARTON. More on Susquahanna and George and Esther was found by one of our little band of New York Barton researchers, Joyce. Check out "The History of Susquahanna 1887" for more information on that area. Article on page 520 titled "Centennial of Susquahanna" by Stocker. At one point HENRY BARTON and his wife SALLY left Sullivan County and went to PA for, it appears, the rest of their lives. This is Georgia's ancestor and I will ask her to fill in the details here. Georgia gets the BARTON -L. list also and will no doubt read this too. OK Georgia? From a list of death notices: . Barton, James d. Milford, Pa. 14 Jan 90 y. (28 Jan 1852) It was from the Whig Press Death Notices 1852. I hope there is something here that will help someone.
