Dear Dorothy Thank you for responding. It sounds like you are the person I've been looking for. This is my family line. 2461. Max10 Barton (Lewis Wilson9, Reuben Almon8, Reuben7, Nathan6, Nathan5, Joshua4, Samuel3, Matthew2, Edward1)(1484) was born in Meadville, NE 26 December 1908. Max died April 1982 at 73 years of age. He married twice. He married Rose Novey 3 July 1930 in Valentine, NE. He married Mary Angeline Becker 6 April 1938. Max Barton and Rose Novey had the following child: 2837 i. Joan11 Barton (living status unknown). Max Barton and Mary Angeline Becker had the following children: + 2838 ii. William Barton (still alive). 2839 iii. Leo Barton (still alive). My father,Grandfather, and a lot of aunts and uncles were born in Meadville, Nebraska My Great Grandfather homesteaded there also. Is the Joseph Barton you refer to in your letter the same as this Joseph: 23. Benjamin3 Barton (Matthew2, Edward1) was born in Salem, Essex, MA October 10, 1708. He married Mary wife of Benjamin Barton. This may be the Benjamin Barton who appraised Robert McIntire's estate in 1752. McIntire was of St. George's and ran a sloop from there to York and Boston. Benjamin Barton and Mary wife of Benjamin Barton had the following child: 63 i. Joseph4 Barton was born in Leicester, Worcester, MA December 11, 1728. I have been attempting to confirm that Edward Barton came to America with 3 or 4 brothers and possibly a Father. I believe the brothers settled in N.Y. The brothers named Rufus,Marmaduke,Thomas and possibly Roger or William. If you could help me solve some of these mysteries I would appreciate it very much. How may I obtain the NY & Mass.IGI sheets you mention? Thanks again for offering to help..........................................Leo Dorothy wrote: > On the NY IGI sheets for Barton I found Daniel born 1789/92 son of Peter > Barton & Esther Howland.
