SC., on 25 Sept. 1822. He was the son of Colonel Wilson Barton, b. 1796 in Greenville,Co., SC. Dr. Welborn Barton died in Burnett Co. TX on Oct. 25, 1883. He was the first judge of Brnett Co. he also was a surgeon in the Civil War. This information was from a letter on the early life of Rebecca Baron Eubank, daughter of Dr. Barton as dictated to Mrs. John Eubank Edwards, June, 1929 The letter is four pages long.
