Hi Helen. Can you cite the source that tells of David Barton being from Fauquier/Prince Wm and son of Thomas Barton and Sarah? I don't doubt it, certainly the yDNA supports David and Bavestor both coming from the Stafford/Prince Wm/Fauquier Barton family - but I don't recall seeing that record or source. (If it is from "All Bartons are Kin" - did they site a source?) I descend through a James Barton, believed to be the son of David and Elizabeth McCormack Barton found in Bedford County, Va. David is the son of Thomas and Sarah (?) who came to Bedford from Faquier/Prince William County, Va. DNA shows a match between Bavester and David. There's a family story that my James spent some time in Ky., before coming back to Monroe Co., Va., but I haven't been able to make a connection. Would appreciate any help. Thanks. Helen
