Down, Ireland, married Mary Kyle 4 Dec. 1784 in Belfast, Co. Antrim, died 22 Feb. 1838, buried in Cross Roads Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Florence, Washington Co., PA. In 1794 John & Mary Barton and their 3 eldest sons emigrated and settled near Canonsburg, Washington Co., PA. The 8 children of John & Mary were James, Hugh, George, Jane, Archibald, John, Robert & Mary. For John & Mary (Kyle) Barton I have about 650 descendants and spouses.
