    2. Terry Barton
    3. Linda, Septimus is a part of Barton Lineage I. There are about 25 separate families in Lineage I. Your representative, B-31 actually matches a significant number of them. It would be incorrect to focus on one family, based on what we know. http://www.bartonsite.org/inc_family_history/lineage__i.htm Here is the table with the results: http://bartonsite.org/Modals/Modals.htm There were two Joseph Barton families in Lineage I at one time. Over time, we discovered that one of those had an error in the paper trail. We now have only one Joseph Barton family in Lineage I. (I'm not sure which one you were looking at) I am working with a man in my church who also is descended from Septimus. He will probably test soon. We'd like to see you upgrade your B-31 test to see if we can place Septimus better within Lineage I. Let's talk off-line about how that works. Best regards, Terry Barton World Families Network Where Genealogy meets DNA Testing http://www.worldfamilies.net/ -----Original Message----- From: Brainiacs123@cs.com [mailto:Brainiacs123@cs.com] Sent: Tuesday, May 02, 2006 11:28 AM To: BARTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BARTON] Re: Taylor Barton, c1770-1835, Kenton/PendletonCo, KY I am looking for Septimus Barton b. 1825 in Georgia. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xZC.2ACIB/2342 Message Board Post: Well,I recently obtained the divorce record of Helen and Thomas Barton(my grandparents). It did not provide much information on the 3 pieces of paper. At least I was able to get that record and now have an actually date of their divorce,Oct 27,1967 in wayne county Michigan. My search will continue and look forward to finding her.In the divorce record it did state that the court found my grandfather gulity of cruelty towards her,so that would explain why the way things happened, and just another side of the story I did not know of.Never met either of them so my judgement shall not be in a negative way.Any information on what I could possibly do know, would be helpful. I am really searching for a birthdate on Helen but that is very limited.I did a search at my local county building for a marriage licenses but after 10 mins of searching they say no record. But,went to another floor in the building and got the divorce record.Possibly, they married out the county they were divorced in.Or even possibly got married in another state.Thanks.....

    3. Does anyone have a full list of Taylor's siblings and children? My ggrandfather Nathan Barton listed Blufton, Indiana as his home when he signed up for the Indiana Volunteers during the civil war. His father was Henry Barton but Henry was not in the county at the time. Given the age of the Bartons in that area, my suspicion is that Nathan was related to Taylor, and perhaps Taylor was his grandfather or uncle. ron stockton ===================== te_barton@comcast.net wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/xZC.2ACIB/1420.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > So if I understand this right, Taylor's brother Roswell would be Taylor's son Roswell's Uncle.Which means they have the same bloodline. My next question would be do you know where this line of Barton,s including you and me go as they go back? > > > ==== BARTON Mailing List ==== > All messages posted to this mailing list are the property of their writers. Barton who was born in Kentucky in 1833 and Snowden had a son John Wiley Barton who was born in Blufton,In.in 1857 who had a son Oscar Snowden Barton who was born in South Whitley,In.in 1888, who had a son Edward Barton who was my father and born in Lake Village, In in 1920.As I said this is very interesting and I would love to get all the info I can.
