If they were, perhaps we share a line and can share information. Jacquelynn pemerritt@erols.com Shirley L Colvin wrote: > > Forgive me; but what are IGI sheets? 3. Do you know Arnold Wellner in your town? He is a cousin of mine on the NJ Arnolds. I do not find Sharp in Mass. R.I. PA or NY have not checked VT yet. There are too many Williams would have to work from a spouses name. International Genealogical Index Births and Marriages complied by the Mormans There of course are errors but when you are starting with nothing its better than nothing. 1. [BARTON-L] PHALBA, PHALTA, PHELBE BARTON
    2. I am seeking the parents and siblings of my G-g-grandmother, Phalba L. Barton. She was married to Joab Lewis and they lived for many years in Gordon Co. GA. I found that they are buried in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordon Co. According to listing in the cemetery book: Lewis, Phalba L. Barton w/o Joab 25 July 1829 1 Apr 1900 Lewis, Joab 13 Feb. 1825 25 mar. 1900 In the same listing next to Phalba is Jane Barton 9 Dec. 1795 29 Feb. 1884 According to newspaper excerpt, "She died at the home of her son-in-law Joab Lewis." One of mother's cousins said she was the wife of Bailey Anderson BARTON and her maiden name was FIELD, no documentation. When and where were Jane and Bailey married, if this is true?

I picked it up from Barton L postings. Good to see you again. "Mind the pedestrian, Richard" says, Hyacinth — and I do. The German Branch of BARTHEN/BARTEN/BARTON is very much alive and kicking. Since we last talked we now have a list of 250 currently existing American cousins (all descendants of Johannes Barthen and Susannah 'Hower' Barton of Lieser, Prussia) and they are now scattered all over the world. We have a firm trace on the line back to 1632 in the Mosel Valley Ger. And I'm proud to say we have organized the first international convention of these descendants at Branson MO. next Aug 12 — 15. I have updated your E. Mail address in my files. And finally I now have a significant nephew, his wife, Cindy (who is in line for the next presidency of S.W.Bell) and his MENSA daughter Rachel who is making his home currently in Dripping Springs, TX. He is my brothers number 1 son, Charles Robert Barton, Jr. and is on line as cbarton@swbet.net. Charles is busy researching the David Crockett connection. Martha Jane Crockett was my Grandfather Sebastian Barton's wife. They lived in S.W. City, MO. and raised a large family starting soon after the American Civil war. My Dad was their last male child. 3. For all of you who have expressed an interest in the Barton Historical Society Bulletins, Betty Barton Howard of the Barton Historical Society has sent a list of available Bulletins. She also forwarded one index and plans to eventually add indexes to each Bulletin. These Bulletins primarily cover southern Bartons, but they also include some northern Barton data. The list of Bulletins and the index are posted on the Barton Quest web site. Just click on the Barton Historical Society link to view the data. Debby http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Valley/5277

She married Peter Sellers in Monroe County, OH on May 24, 1853. If anyone has any information, it is greatly appreciated.
