That did not take long. Roger Barton born 1628 does not have a marriage listed or parents. the entry was made by a relative William Barton and Westchester of Rye is listed. There are no marriages for say 1648. Could it be another Roger? There are 15 sheets, I can easily copy this and send to you cost is 08 cents per plus postage. I am sorry about the small print have been getting these for years and could read them. I think who ever made the copies did not realize the machine was printing them smaller. hello, Even though you said your Enos Barton was from Ohio I wondered if perhaps he could have moved or something. In Walker County, Al. Enos M. Barton, a resident of Illinois, bought a tract of timber land in 1905. He opened up the Manchester Saw Mills and was involved in establishing a railroad here. He often visited Walker County. Please check to see if this is your Enos. I may have more info for you. Willie Barton

Oops. My Bartons are "from" Maryland. As I was growing up, the only living "old" ones were in Queen Anne's County (mostly Centreville area). I say "from" because I only know the time frame in which I grew up. -----Original Message----- From: KLinley874@aol.com <KLinley874@aol.com> To: BARTON-L@rootsweb.com <BARTON-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, April 06, 1999 5:51 PM Subject: Re: [BARTON-L] MD Bartons >Have reread your post and fail to see where they were? While visiting Fredonia, Wilson County, KS we visited the Farmington Cemetery located about 6-7 miles north and about l mile east of the town of Fredonia in the Farmington community. We were searching for Dutrow and Herb relatives. We did not expect to find a Barton (our family name) there. My husband, Ivel H. Barton Jr. grew up in Fredonia but we have not to date connected to the family. Perhaps some of you will. There were 3 graves marked as Bartons and one beside which stated only "Born & Died Jan 7, 1890". I felt that this grave was probably connected to the others. (1) Rev. William B Barton; 1824-1899 (2) Kate E.; His wife; 1835-1915 Their footstone read"Father-Mother" (3) Ara M Barton; Born Oct 10, 1885; Died Nov 15, 1885 This grave is located at the feet of Wm & Kate. Hope this is a connection that someone out there can use.
