Gifford is the s/o Willis Barton b. 9-22-1803 in SC d. 9-04-1891 in AL. I am interested in talking to cousins.     2. Hi Nathan, We may connect our Barton's. Not sure. My Grandmother was from Corbin, or should say Lynn Camp, KY. Lynn Camp is next to Corbin. My Barton's for the most part are buried in the Dowis Chapel Cem. just outside Corbin. I have some of your names but not sure if they connect. I'm sure they connect to my earlier Barton's. I have your Sarah Elizabeth as Sarah E. Mitchell b, ca 1856 dau of William and Elizabeth Hatfield Mitchell. William as the son of William Mitchell and Mary Jane Dowis. I find her m. on the New York IGI sheet and a cousin has proof that Sarah was the d/o of Isaac Barton. John & Betsey Bissell were from Rhode Island. Anybody related to this line???
