In a book I have, "Inhabitants of New Hampshire, 1776," by Emily S. Wilson, there are some Bartlett's listed who signed the Association pledging their loyalty to the cause of the colonies. Not all towns are listed and some names might not be signed if they were already in the Continental Army. An n after a persons name means that this person was a non-associator and refused to sign the Association, therefore someone else wrote his name in. The Continental Congress resolved that all persons who refused to sign should be disarmed.
