Book L, page 128: Power of Attorney from EVAN BARTLETT of Hebron, Grafton Co.,NH, husbandman, to Samuel Crosby of same place, dated Dec. 20, 1825, authorizing him to sell all real estate belonging to his brother, JONATHAN BARTLETT, formerly of Newbury, MASS., and late of St. Mary's, yoeman, deceased, said EVAN being the brother and lawful heir of said JONATHAN. GGM, 1962, p. 347: Book L/144, Camden Co., (GA) Mrs. HANNAH BARTLETT, wife of EVAN BARTLETT, of Hebron, Grafton Co., NH to Horace S. Platt of St. Marys, Minister of Gospel. Deed dated March 29, 1826, quit-claiming all her rights to part of lot 55 in St. Marys. Just for your interest, St. Marys is on the mainland just across from Cumberland Island, where John Kennedy got married. Camden Co. borders FL. And if there are, by chance, any one out there who is a Eugenia Price readers, does the name Horace Platt sound familiar? Was he one of her characters? I would like to know more about Jonathan, how old he was, who were his parents, if his was married - I presume not, since his brother was his legal heir. Since he was in Georgia, he may be a clue to some of the Georgia Bartletts - So, HELP.......
