Norfolk To all, Whereas, Now Know Ye that I for William BERKELEY doo with the advise and consent of the Councile of State according to the Act of Assembly give and grant unto RICHARD BARTLETT two hundred acres of Land situate lying and being in the County of Upper ? ___ Norfolk at the road of Chuckatuckee bounded upon a patent of three hundred acres of land granted to Humphrey SCOWEN, NorthWest __upon the land of_ _ South South West_into the woods North North West one hundred poles poles in Broedth, Tho Law tow hundred acres of land being granted unto the said Richard BARTLETT and Harry BRADLEY by order of court bearing date at JAMES Citty the fifth of October 1643 with this provises that it bond to the prejuduo of any former grant and that they build a mill upon the same one hundred acres thereof being the Majety of the said Bradleys was since by him surrended unto the said BARTLETT, and due unto him by and for his own _ Adventure and the transportation of of three persons into this colony all whose names are in the records mentioned under this patent.
