Hi everyone. Went to my local library last week to do a little research. Looked up the name BARTLETT in an index of our local cemetery, West Dundee Cemetery, West Dundee, Illinois. Under BARTLETT this is what I found: Row 31 Lots 118 & 136 Esther A. Wife of B. S. Bartlett died February 28, 1880, at the age 31 years 5 months. This plot belonged to LOBDELL. B. H. Lobdell wife Anna. Esther perhaps was their daughter. This week I volunteer at the Gail Borden Library in Elgin, Illinois in the genealogy department. I'll do more research at that time and report into everyone. Do I have any cousins out there that can help me? Either in Vermont, New York, Wisc. and/or PA. I'm researching my gggrandfather DANIEL JOHN BARTLETT, born February 13, 1836, in New York. Married July 4, 1861, in Bloomfield, Walworth Cty, Wisc. and died (I have the date of May 24, 1902, in Sparta, Wisc.) not sure on location. He married Alvina Schermerhorn, rumor has it Alvina was part American Indian-the Fox Tribe, I would love to prove that! Getting back to my Bartletts, Daniel's father was Lock or Locke BARTLETT born in Vermont (date, I'm guessing 1805) and that's all I know. Can anyone help me-please?
