    3. I think out of curiosity maybe the list should take a poll to see how many people are searching for their ancestor's on other list's.? I'm on this Bartlett list & the other Bartlett one, Morrison,Johnson, Lovell, Phariss, White, Adams, Bell, SHelton (Sheldon). And wanting to find or get on or create list for Thompson, Abram, Hansen, McKay & probably other's in the future. I'm doing research for myself (my dad), my mom, my mother-in-law & a little for my brother-in-law It's fun & I enjoy all the list that i'm on--except for the other "Bartlett" list Alli ---------- > From: Bartlett Genealogy Foundation <bartlett@bartlettgenealogy.com> > To: BARTLETT-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [BARTLETT-ROOTS-L] Bartlett Roots Mailing list..A story. > Date: Saturday, July 04, 1998 12:09 PM > > Hey Ruth since you posted it this question by mistake to this list thought I > should at least reply to the list. > > I see it like this. 2. Bartlett Genealogy Foundation
    3. If you already have a Bartlett web site, a donation of your genealogy would be nice for the ofline records, but I would like to add a link for people to go to your site to research your branch. We have a few new Bartlett lineage links coming, but if you have one, let me know and I'll link you. Tammy http://www.bartlettgenealogy.com/

    2. Wayne & Norma Combs
    3. Knowing of my interest in genealogy, a Bartlett first cousin just sent me a copy of Genealogical and Biographical Sketches of the Bartlett Family in England and America by Levi Bartlett of Warner, NH, 1875-6. I do not know of its value to researchers, nor to which family line it belongs (alas, not my orphan Edward Bartlett of Killingly, CT, 1745-1842), but I would be happy to do lookups and e-mail "reasonable" excerpts if there is any interest. Norma

    2. Lorie, Please can you help me with my research. I too enjoy helping others, it just seems I'm running into deep ends on my line. The info that I have is not much. My gggrandfather is Daniel John Bartlett, born February 13, 1836, in ______, NY; married Alvina Schermerhorn July 4, 1861, in Bloomfield, Walworth County, Wisconsin; and he died May 24, 1902, in Sparta, Wisconsin (that's what I've been told, have not proved it). Daniel's father's name is Lock Bartlett, born in _______, Vermont, guessing somewhere around 1805; married Mariam _______, she was born in _______, NY. If I can help you with research here in my area, I will be happy to do that for you. Good Luck. TTYL Donna :-)

    3. Hi, I am trying to find parents, siblings etc. for a Priscilla Bartlett who married Josiah Foss. At first I thought she might have beena daughter to Samuel Bartlett b: Feb 3, 1748 Amesbury, Ma and d: Feb 9, 1813 in Thomaston, Me. as Priscilla Bartlett and Josiah Foss had a son, Samuel Bartlett Foss b: Apr. 20, 1799 in Thetford, Orange, Vermont. I now have info from the 1992 IGI for Vermont showing a Priscilla Bartlett being born 1779 in Thetford. Shows no other info though. Does anyone have this Priscilla in their database or know of a possible family she might be connected to. Thanks in advance. Regards, Toni PS I have more info on other children of Josiah Foss and Priscilla Bartlett.

    3. Ruth She brought me pages of names. I told her I would need dates and places so she will bring them to me tomorrow. They seemed unusual names so thought I could get a jump-start on this if someone had all the same names. 2. OK Ladies and Gentlemen, I've very excited. I was able to find a little bit more information on my Bartlett line this week. I went to the Paducah Public Library and found my great-great grandfather listed on the McCracken Co. 1920 Census. His name is William Webster Bartlett b. 1870 in or near Indianapolis, IN. d. Oct. 5, 1933 in Paducah, McCracken Co., KY m. Lula Schmitt b. 1873 Cincinnati, OH d. 1943 in Paducah, McCracken Co., KY they had 6 children all born in Paducah: Carl William b. Sept. 7, 1902 d. April 17, 1982 Mabel b. 1903 or 1904 Rebecca b. 1907 or 1908 John b. 1910 or 1911 Katherine b. 1913 or 1914 Rollie b. 1916 or 1917 Carl Wm. (my great grandfather) m. Flora Wade they had 3 children: William Carl b. April 7, 1928 (my grandfather) Judy Bartlett Dowell Martha Bartlett Bundy As the story goes, William Webster left Indianapolis when he was 14, around 1884 because his mother had died and his father remarried. William didn't like his step-mother so he left home never to return. From what my great great Uncle Rollie says he didn't even want to talk about his father. My great grandfather (Carl) did get him to talk about it once and he went to IN to look for William's father. Unfortunately, no one knows if he w able to find anything. So, this is where I'm at. If anyone knows anything about Bartletts in IN, especially in or near Indianapolis please let me know and especially if it involes the name William. As far as I can tell the name William has been used in the family line since William Webster (just and interesting tidbit). Thanx for any help that you may be able to provide. And thanx to Ruth and Tammy for all their hard work. If there's anything I can do for anyone out there please feel free to let me know. I plan on visiting the library and the Family History Center this week. Happy Hunting, Lorie :-)
