Does anyone have any info on twins being born in December of 1849. Jacob Allen Barrett (I am told probably descends from Arthur or Rueben) was born then. I am told he had a twin brother. He married Lettie Austin and died in Austin County, Texas. I am trying to trace these Barretts back to Virginia or Ireland. My g-grandfather's name was James (he was the eldest son) and we think that this could have been his father's name too. I find only 3 James on the 1850 census. They were located in Houston, Lumpkin and Pike counties. There is a Reuben in Lumpkin County. Jacob had a grandson named Reuben. and a son named Arthur.
