Steven, Thank you kindly for your offer of help, which I will gladly accept since I don't drive long distances and I live in Downsville, Louisiana.I would appreciate it very much if you happen to go near or by the Cleveland courthouse, please see if the Bolivar County Circuit Clerk can find a marriage license or marriage record fior Olly (Ollie) Barrett and John Hugh Mayes., probably early 1904 or late 1903 since their first child was born December 1904. I will gladly pay any fees and cost of your help. I would like to find the graves of William Mayes b.Feb.27,1841 (!843)-d.Feb.27,1918. buried in Rosedale.(John Hugh Mayes' father), Miles Barrett, his wife, Lula Irby Barrett- his daughter, Ora Barrett, and Birch Barrett, his son.Miles' family is said to be buried in Boyle,Mississippi. Perhaps the library there would have a cemetery listing. I'd like to get the whole cemetery listing. Als, keep an eye out for the son of olly Barrett and John Hugh Mayes, Norman Mayes. He died after the 1920 since fe was listed on that census as 3years and 3 months old. He died young. I assume he would be in the Boyle cemetery since that's where Grandmother was born. How are you related to the Barretts? Any data will be deeply appreciated. Thank you for yopur kindness, Gaye (Mayes) Hall P.S. Are you related to the Mitchell family from the Stewart,Choctaw Conty, MS.??
