My name is Janet Barrett Walker and I descend from the David Barrett line, and am sort of the organizer of the list and website. although it is all our researcher cousins who make it all possible. I assume you have seen our website? I was looking thru the Reuben Barrett Address Book, which I have recently updated and I see that we have 6 new "cousins" from the Joseph Barrett line in the last month. Steven Mitchell, Sammy Pace, Rev. Travis Fulton, Jean Barrett Blank, Jessica Thompson and Sarah Barrett Everage. Sarah, I list what line each person descends from and I see that Melba Barrett also closely parallels your line. She is also thru William Lafayette Barrett and his son Leonard Everett Barrett. Also thru Utley Pickens we have Theresa Barrett Dueitt, Joyce Sanders, Kathy Creath, and Jessica Thompson..although there are a lot of people who research the Joseph Barrett lines. You will find all the information on the reunion, the marker and the DNA project on the website. If you have any information on your line that you would like to add to Joseph Barrett's webpages please let me know. Janet, You have done a great job in collecting the Barrett information from all of us. I thank you very much for your effort. I wish it was possible for Dede and me to make the Barrett Reunion. Time and commitments prevent it, so be it. Maybe we can have one here in Madison Co. Texas for the John Whitten Barrett branch and any other branches that came to Texas along with John.
