I received a call today from a Ruth Geneva Barrett Wiggins from Jackson, MS in response to the Clarion Ledger Genealogy article. -She is the daughter of Richard Homer Barrett and Mary Elizabeth "Bess" McNees b. Winston Co., MS. -Richard Homer was the son of Wright Robert Barrett, b. AL or MS. -Wright Robert was the son of George Barrett. George m. Sarah Roundtree. -George was the son of Samuel. Samuel was b. late 1700's, prob. VA or Carolinas, and emigrated from there to MS by way of GA & AL. Does anyone recognize these names? Can you provide info? She and her family are somewhat interested in the reunion but are reluctant to commit without knowing if there's a connection. She has more info which she's mailing to me. Marilyn

Turner, Bondsman; Performed by E. D. Hyde.) I know nothing else about them. Samuel Ira Barrett (s/o David Hamilton Barrett, s/o Joseph Barrett & Rutha Cabiness) m. Mattie Chapman November 15, 1894 (Neshoba Co., MS Book B:545, Circuit Clerk.) They had 7 children. Samuel L. Barrett (s/o Benjamin T. A. Barrett, s/o David Hamilton Barrett) b. January 1, 1902. Samuel S. Barrett (s/o Reuben Barrett, Jr. and Sarah Miller) b. abt 1840 in Neshoba Co., MS. He married Sarah C. - unknown last name.
