Bob Jackson says that a person by the name of Massey Arrowsmith lived in Greenville, and that tracing his origin might be a clue as to where the Jacksons and/or Barretts moved from. In this case, Massey probably originated as a surname. I might also say this: Massey is also a nickname for "Matthew." It derives from a childish pronunciation of "Matty." Karen Hett
