Dear List Members, I received a letter from DAR today requesting evidence to support Reuben's birth and death dates and places (SC), proof of his residence in SC during the Rev. War, and a copy of the original application for pension which documents Reuben's Rev. War record; I have sent a copy to Janet by email. I appeal to you genealogists who have been doing this for years--can you provide the info requested? If not I will start the process of writing to archives, county seats, etc. to try to obtain copies of the original documents we need. They also requested some changes in the letter of permission from Tyger Church, which I will mail to them. The DAR did say they'd allow the info to be inserted in the letter and signed off by any of the church officers, so hopefully that will be no probelm. Please be prepared for I fear the approval for the DAR emblem will not be given in time for the reunion. I am doing all I can, but as I told you early on, I am new to genealogy research and new to DAR, so my skills leave much to be desired. In addition to this, I have some family obligations which are time consuming, as I know we all do. Marilyn
