Marilyn, I believe I have a copy of Reuben's will and maybe a copy of the pension application made by his second wife. I'll do some digging and see what I can find. It may be this weekend before I can do much hunting. I have suspected for some time we wouldn't have the emblem in time. It isn't your fault, it is the way DAR does things. I have already talked to the people doing the marker about our options if it wasn't ready. If we are able to get the marker, it will be attached. If it is after the reunion that's the way it goes. We can't make others do things when we would like for it to be done. Thanks for your efforts. You have done a great job to get this as far as you have. If not I will start the process of writing to archives, county seats, etc. to try to obtain copies of the original documents we need. They also requested some changes in the letter of permission from Tyger Church, which I will mail to them. The DAR did say they'd allow the info to be inserted in the letter and signed off by any of the church officers, so hopefully that will be no probelm. Please be prepared for I fear the approval for the DAR emblem will not be given in time for the reunion. I am doing all I can, but as I told you early on, I am new to genealogy research and new to DAR, so my skills leave much to be desired.
