I received a letter yesterday acknowledging receipt of the applicaton for a DAR Headstone Marker for Reuben Barrett. Since the list doesn't accept attachments, I'll paraphrase here: "Your application will now be forwarded to a Staff Genealogist for review. ...Due to the heavy, multifaceted workload of the genealogy staff assigned to this task; this verification process may take up to six months or longer to complete...."
