Gayle, my Mother says that Good Hope Church and cemetery is off of Hwy 15 between Philadelphia and Union. She says to go down Hwy 15, from Philadelphia toward Union, for about 4-5 miles and turn right at an intersection. I think you could ask anyone along there where to turn. The Church is only a 1/4 to 1/2 mile off Hwy 15. She said it's a big cemetery and some parts are old. She doesn't know if any Barretts are buried there, but wouldn't be surprised if there were. She said Barrett relatives lived down that way. Some Barrett relatives, Andrew Rhodes for example, were buried at Linwood......that's on down highway 15. Mother is my main source of information, and she is only a Barrett by marriage, but she has a great memory....will be 90 this summer. Sarah Barrett Everage

the good hope that Reuben Gatlin Barrett was the pastor is in madison, co in the country. it is about 8 miles west of thomastown andabout 5 miles east of cameron off hwy 17. R G Barrett is buried their along with Dallas Clement, Henry Lloyd,Edward Tully,Virginia (Virgie) Barrett McWilliams, and Grover Clanton and some I can't remember.We buried my mother feb. 4 this year along side my dad( Henry Lloyd ) I will be going to take pictures their also.
