The list has been VERY slow lately and I think Marilyn's suggestion is a good one. My line is: Reuben Barrett and Hannah ? John Barrett and (2) Rebecca Stanton - John's first wife was Rebecca Chastain John R. (Jack) Barrett and Martha Sewell Isaac Parino Barrett, Sr. and Mary Teliclar Edwards Isaac Parino Barrett, Jr. and Blanch Holden James Parino Barrett (me) and Janelle Barrett I administer the Barrett DNA Surname project. There are currently 33 members in the project who have received at least part of the test results they have requested. Of those 6 descend from the Reuben Barrett line as proved by their research and the matches of results. One of these people didn't match which disproved a family rumor that the birth father and adoptive father along the line were not the same person. There are also 3 members of the group who descend from Reuben's brother Arthur. All of these men descend from Arthur's son David Barton Barrett. One of these men doesn't match us, confirming another family rumor and the other two do. This has given us a very good base for the DNA of Arthur, Reuben and their Barrett ancestors. As part of the DNA study I'm looking for a female line descendant, male or female, who can trace their mother's, mother's, . mother back to Hannah.
