I'll tell my mother I heard from one of Uncle Hubert's grandchildren. She is amazed that I've found all these cousins. Our extended family--the Shucks and the Barretts have been extremely close over the years, a trait that I understand comes from my great grandmother, Ada Mae. My mother, Iris Myers, slept in a big feather bed with her mammo Ada during her young life (My grandfather Erold Myers, and my grandmother Earline Shuck Myers lived in her house on Cosmos Street in Houston). My mother remembers her grandmother's deaths as one of the most traumatic experiences of her young life. I do hope to get to meet you sometime, maybe at a Barrett reunion.
