This a really good idea, After my father in law died ( four year before I met my husband) my mother in law remarried and her new husband took all the old pictures and papers and set them in the alley. Had my brother in law and sister in law not been driving thur the alley to come around to the front they would have never seen them there to save things dating back to the late eighteen hundreds.
