Thanks you and hugs, Janet Johnny got hurt a work yesterday, there was a flash fire and his hands and arms were burned. His left hand has 2nd - maybe mild 3rd degree burns, they had to cut his wedding band off. His right arm has 1st - mild 2nd degree burns and his left arm & right hand have 1st degree burns. He's in pain, however it could have been so much worse. Luckily he put his right arm over his face or may have been blinded, due to his contacts possibly melting into his eyes. We have a n appt with a plastic surgeon Friday, I'll keep you posted. Love, Kelly

Janet I was sadden to hear about your brother. I am glad he wasn't hurt any worse than he was. When I was eleven my fannel night gown caught fire from the fire place and I had first,second and third degree burns from my right ankle to my neck. We lived on a ranch on the west end of Galveston and mom had planted aloe plants everywhere. The doctor told her that it is what kept me from scaring. It also relieved a lot of the pain.She disobeyed the doctor's instructions and medications and would cut those plant leaves open and lay them all over my leg and back twice a day. The first degree burns hurt the worse because third degree apparently does nerve damage. When the feeling starts coming back the third will really hurt. The doctor was amazed how fast I healed. The aloe is messy and feels like you are laying in boiled okra but it really does help. I hope he doesn't suffer too much and will back to himself soon. It is very frightening to be burned by fire and my heart goes out to him.
