Is this part of our family? This was posted on the Reuben Barrett Query forum. I tried to make the posts come to the list, but I can't figure out how to do it, I will keep working on it. If this is our line could someone in the same line please let her know? Thanks, Janet Subject: Barrett Lineage Name: Kathryn Miller Date Posted: Mar 31, 02 - 4:06 PM IP Address: 209.214.59.148 Email: krmiller57@iwon.com Ancestor Barrett Line Unknown Message: Dear Janet: I think I have become a member of this Reuben Barrett by mistake as I can find no reference to any of my ancestors on your pages. My mother was born Carlie Edna Barrett on Sept. 13, 1907, d Sept 20, 1971, in Hattiesburg, Forrest County, MS. Her parents were John Ezra Barrett, b Nov 29, 1874, in Jones City, possibly, Wayne County, MS; and Mary Catherine Graham, Barrett, b Sept 12, 1874 in Newton County, MS, d Oct 18, 1917 in Hattiesburg, MS. As you can see, they died when their children were young therefore all 5 living children were sent to an orphanage in Jackson, MS. My G-grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Barrett, b. Aug 28, 1835 in Jones County, MS, d Aug 1916 in Eucutta, Wayne, MS. He was married to Martha E. Gatlin, b. Jul 20, 1849 in MS. She died on Jul 22, 1885 in Jones Co. MS. Benjamin Franklin and Martha E. had the following children: N. B. Barrett, b in 1871 in MS. William Franklin Barrett, b 1873 or 1874 in MS John Ezra Barrett Nancy L. Barrett, b 1877 in MS Thomas Jefferson Barrett, b Mar 17, 1885 in Hattiesburg, MS d Mar 24, 1946 in Hattiesburg, MS. Christopher Columbus Barrett, b 1882 in Wayne County, MS, d May 14, 1952 in Hattiesburg, MS. I do have more information on the Graham branch and the Gatlin branch, but I think this is sufficient for you to let me know if there is any connection between the Reuben Barrett branch and my branch. Your help will be appreciated
