As far as I remember it has never been proven that Reuben Barrett ever lived in Virginia or that Mary Polly was born in Virginia. Her headstone says that she was born in Virginia but no record has ever been found. I think the descendants of Mary can answer this better as to why her ?great? or ?great great? grandson put Virginia on her headstone. She is buried next to Reuben and Hannah and it was an honor to be able to see the her headstone that has created so much controversy and mystery over the years. We have several very good Jackson researchers on the list. One other note: Reubens birthday has never been proven either. Janet
