Just a quick note to let everyone know we are okay.  We lost power about noon Saturday and phone service about noon on Sunday.   I went to Fort Worth yesterday morning to pick up a generator I bought last week.  Jan called me about noon to let me know our power was back on.  Our phone service was restored during the night   We had no damage to the house. We lost one small tree that was already in bad shape.  We lost about half a dozen limbs out of two big pine trees and our fall pepper and tomato pants were destroyed.  A VERY small loss compared to many.   A large tree did fall on my in-laws grave but didn't hurt the marker but did beat up the fence behind it.  We cleaned most of it up Sunday afternoon.   I'll work through my e-mail during the next few days.   Thanks to all for your good wishes and prayers.  I hope everyone else did as well but I sure those closer to the coast were hit much harder. Hi Jim, I've finally got members of my husband's family to do the DNA test. I'm thinking of the Y-DNA37+mtDNA test. My question for you is does it matter which name project I go under? Can I put the results under more than one name? We are the family with the forger for the Grandfather. The first name I can find for him is Edward Barrett in 1908 when he was 23. He also went by Charles Howard, James Harris and Robert Williams. I'd like to put the results under at least the Barrett, Howard and Williams names. Do you know if that's possible? I want to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes.  It seem we are out of the woods.    The weather people were predicting 10 to 20 inches of rain and strong winds for our area.  In the last 24 hours we got almost 1 inch of rain.  We did have some strong winds, but nothing like I expected.  A few broken limbs but no trees down.  We never did lose our power.   I hope all of our friends were as lucky. FYI - I live in Shelby Co., TX.  If you follow the state line south from Texarkana Shelby Co. is the county where the state line stops being a straight line.  We are in the path of Gustav.  We should start getting wind and rain in a few hours.  We live in the country and will probably lose our power.  If we do it may be out for a few days.  We are on high ground so we don't have to worry about flooding.  If we lose power I'll lose my Internet connection also.  I shall return!
