So, first, let me thank you for helping us make our recent Y-37+mtDNA sale the most successful in the history of Family Tree DNA.  While our lower Y-DNA37 prices combined with the free mtDNA test played an important role in this success, your efforts had a significant impact in this achievement, which made some projects increase their membership by a two-digit number. In light of this success and in conjunction with many reunions or events where one of us will be speaking, including the Clans Gathering 2009 and the Highland Games in Scotland, we have decided to offer for the month of July a variation of our  recent promotion:  Y-DNA37 – promotional price $119 (reg. price $149) Y-DNA67 – promotional price $199 (reg. price $238) mtDNAPlus – promotional price $119 (reg. price $149) These are the best prices, marker for marker, of any company in the market. IMPORTANT: since this promotion will run through the month of July, we encourage you to spread the word starting now, as the natural tendency is for people to order at the last minute, and we will not extend it beyond this month. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to the sustained growth of the Family Tree DNA matching database. 3. Chuck,   They use the same sample that you sent to National Geographic in 2006 for the upgrade so you don't have to get a new kit.  Once FTDNA gets your sample they keep it for 25 years.   When you had you sample moved from National Geographic to FTDNA they assigned you a kit number of N25827 and gave you a password.  You can use these to access the website they set up for you.  I just checked your pending results on that page.  It shows that you have ordered an upgrade from your 12 markers to 67 markers and that the estimated results date is 07/06/2009.   You do have an exact 12 marker match with me, as well as several other Barrett and non-Barrett men.  I have no doubt that we are share a common Barrett ancestor but I have no idea how long ago it was.   If you look at our website at http://www.flash.net/~parino/barrett-family-dna-project.htm you'll find us in the second group.  I'm kit 4587.  All of the people marker SC-1 descend from my most distant proven Barrett ancestor, Reuben Barrett of Greenville Co., SC and all of those marked SC-2 descend from his brother Arthur, also of Greenville Co., SC.   It will be very interesting to see you upgrade results.
