I was listening to George Michael, retired Washington D.C. sportscaster, on radio the other day. He said that he now had a company that was digitizing the archived sports photos of major newspapers to both improve the quality and make them available online. He said that his company would go in and do it for the newspapers in exchange for a percentage of the fees. I would not be surprised to see this extended to other newspaper photos. I have one from a 1908 issue of the Scranton Times (PA). It is the picture of a North Scranton athletic association. Most of the names are from County Mayo, including my grandfather, great uncle and one George Barrett. -----Original Message----- From: barrett-dna-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:barrett-dna-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Jim Barrett Sent: Tuesday, October 06, 2009 7:49 PM To: BARRETT-DNA-L; POWELL-DNA-L Subject: [BARRETT-DNA] Digitized Books on Demand You might want to check out this link as a source for books. http://kirtasbooks. com/ Jim Barrett - Timpson, TX Please Help Benjaman Kyle http://home.flash.net/~parino/bkyle.htm Barrett Surname DNA Project http://www.flash.net/~parino/barrett-family-dna-project.htm Powell Surname DNA Project http://www.flash.net/~parino/powell-surname-dna-project.htm ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BARRETT-DNA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
