Dear Group, Here is another list of CHRISTENINGS from 1796 to 1801 extracted from the record books of the Bradford Parish Church. This is the sixth list. May. 15th. 1796 Betty daughter of William and Mary of Wibsey Jun. 17th 1706 James son of John and Mary of Gt.Horton Jun. 17th 1796 Benjamin son of John and Ruth of Gt.Horton Nov 27th 1796 Deborah daughter of Andrew and Rachel of Bolton Feb. 3rd 1797 Joseph son of Jonas and Judy of Bowling Feb.23rd 1797 William son of Abraham and Betty of Wibsey Mar.1st 1797 John son of Abraham and Mary of Wibsey June.19th 1797 John son of Samuel (collier) of Wibsey Aug. 17th 1797 Joseph son of William (stuffmaker) of Gt.Horton Aug.27th 1797 Mary daughter of Timothy (weaver) of Bowling Sept.17th 1797 Abraham son of John (stuffmaker) of Gt.Horton Feb.18th 1798 Joseph son of John (weaver) of Gt.Horton. Again, all the above have the name Barraclough, with that spelling. The date of baptism in some instances can be misleading as in a few instances (not Barracloughs) two, four and five children age two weeks to eight years were all baptised at the same time. Also, the perception of a casual approach was noticed in some of the entries, not just confined to the actual writing. The quality of the reproduction of information from wrinkled pages to blurred negative style (white on black) presentation does nothing to qualify the impeccability of this, and my other lists in terms of absolute accuracy.
