    3. Hi Everyone: I almost feel like a stranger as it has been such a long time since I have been able to contribute any information. The following is a collection of information I have researched over the past little while; two records from Canadian census and the rest from Yorkshire. If anyone requires any further information on any of the material listed, please just e-mail. H., age 18, born Ontario, butcher John W., age 15, born Ontario, clerk Violet, age 9, born Ontario 3.Deeds Index 1819-1948; Mortomley Lane End 1825 - IK 648 668 Mortomley Lane End 1827 - IZ 345 362 Mortomley 1827 - IZ 346 363 Ecclesfield 1839 - NH 569 494 Mortomley, Ecclesfield 1842 - OC 652 559 These deeds deal with large parcels of land in Mortomley and Ecclesfield and names included are the Jeffcocks and Huntsman, both involved in the Sheffield steel industry. 4. LDS Film No. 471467 - based on the Parish Records of Sheffield, Bradford and Ecclesfield - Marriages mostly Barraclough, Abraham born abt. 1654, Bradford, Yks., married 24 September 1679 at Bradford, Susana Walker who was born abt. 1658, Bradford. One child, Francis Barraclough, baptised 20 January 1686, North Burley, Bradford; Barraclough, John, born abt. 1802, Sheffield, married 9 August 1827 at Sheffield, Elizabeth Lomas who was born abt. 1806; Barraclough, Thomas, born abt. 1760, Ecclesfield, married 1 July 1792 Betty Chatterton who was born abt. 1764. Thomas's first wife was Frances; Barraclough, William, born abt. 1765, Arksey, Yorks, married by licence 21 October 1790 at Sheffied Rebecca Cawton who was born abt. 1769; Barraclough, Joseph, Cutler, born 1 June 1755, Sheffield, married 8 July 1784 Hannah Holmes who was born abt. 1763. Joseph and Hannah had 3 children: Thomas, christened 17 June 1785, Sheffield; Joseph christened 17 February 1788, Sheffield and William christened 1 April 1791. Hannah was buried 4 March 1791. Joseph married by licence 25 March 1792 Mary Rowbotham and they had 4 children: John christened 24 March 1793; Elizabeth christened 10 December 1794; Isaac and Mary, christened 12 April 1789; Sarah christened 29 January 1802 Barraclough, Charles, Cutler, born abt 1759, Sheffield, married 11 August 1784 at Sheffield Elizabeth Roberts who was born abt. 1763, Sheffield. They had 4 children: Peter, christened 22 August 1784; Sarah christened 10 September 1786; Mary christened 12 April 1789 and Charlotte christened 17 July 1791 Barraclough, Stephen, Razorsmith and Cutler, born abt. 1777, Sheffield married 13 June 1802 at Sheffield Sarah Wilson who was born about 1781, Sheffield. They had 3 children: John christened 5 June 1803; Stephen christened 10 February 1805 (or 25 July 1807 - there are two entries) and Charles christened 12 August 1807 Barraclough, Thomas, Farmer, christened 17 June 1785, Mortomley married Ann Parkin by licence 28 November 1809, Ecclesfield. They had 6 children: Henry christened 29 April 1810, Mortomley; John christened 25 September 1811, Mortomley, buried 12 March 1815; Thomas christened 20 May 1814, Mortomley; Joseph christened 16 February 1817, buried 10 May 1819; Mary Ann, christened 6 September 1818, buried 9 May 1825; Elizabeth christened 23 March 1823 buried 16 May 1827 Barraclough, John, Farmer born abt 1769, married Mary________. They had 1 child, Ellen christened 23 August 1801, Sheffield Barraclough, John, Cutler and Razormaker, born 30 January 1742, Sheffield married 16 July 1765, Sheffield, Elizabeth Binney who was born abt. 1744. 2 children listed: Stephen christened 24 January 1777, Sheffield and Elizabeth christened 19 February 1779, Sheffield Barraclough, George, Cutler, born abt. 1761, Sheffield married Mrs. Mary Barraclough who was born abt. 1765. 1 son, John christened 24 March 1793, Sheffield 5. I have a copy of the Will of Paul Barraclough dated 1721 from the Borthwick Institute; 6. I have a copy of the hallmark and relevant information for James Barraclough from Cutler's Hall for the period 1721-1733 I hope this information is helpful and would be delighted to hear from anyone with some connection.
