Hi Everyone: I spent yesterday at the LDS transcribing a film but I first must give you an explanation. The film number I ordered is 471468, for the above-noted marriage records. When I started to view the film, I realized that it was composed of records researched by members who had submitted it to the LDS. When I questioned the volunteer about the film, she indicated that the IGI film numbers cannot always be trusted and that a person should always consult the Library Catalogue. I had not done this because on an earlier visit another volunteer had told me that any film number which contained a letter contained information submitted by a member and not necessarily verfied. Therefore, when I ordered this film, I was told that it was in fact the parish records for marriages. In any event, I transcribed the information and noted that all the Barraclough research was done in 1966 by one individual and EVERYTHING was confirmed through the Bradford Parish Records held at the Bradford Public Library or through the Parish Register for Sheffield.
