Hi Linda; Seeing one's name come up on screen that you did not put there is not quite as shocking as seeing one's name on a grave stone in the area where you know that your ancestors lived! This has happened to me twice now; once in Rippondon, Yorkshire and once at Holy Trinity in Stratford-upon Avon! Whilst in England this summer, I made the classical mistake of going to the church in Wibsey, St. Pauls, not the Wibsey Church which is in Low Moor. Nevertheless, found several Barracloughs buried there and photographed the stones. John Barraclough died April ? 1893. Shepherd Barraclough died Jan 2nd 1966 aged 64 years and of Doris his dearly loved wife who died Aug. 31st 1987 aged 8? (2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9, only the top bar is visible) And in the Wibsey town cemetery: Family grave: Walter Henry Barraclough died 11th March 1950 aged 75 years, His beloved wife Mary who died 23rd May 1961 aged 86 years, Stanley Edmund Barraclough died 25th May 1989 aged 85 years, Macdalene, wife of Stanley Barraclough who died 9th March 1942 aged 34 years, Nellie Barraclough, second wife of Stanley born 1 Dec 1900, died 13 Oct 1980, and in a separate shot Christopher Edmund Barraclough died 1st Jan 1991 aged 44 years. Frank Barraclough died Jan 16th 1941 aged 72 years and also of Ruth his wife who died May 13th 1950 aged 82 years and of Jo?Anne their dearly loved daughter... rest is buried and unreadable. Herbert Barraclough died Jan 1st 1942 aged 48 years also Evelyn a dear wife and mother who died Sept 1st 1982 aged 86 years. Annie wife of Alfred Barraclough who died Dec 2nd 1943 aged 71 years also of the above Alfred who died Oct 11th 1952 aged 81 years also Charlie son of the above and dearly loved husband of Louisa Barraclough who died May 29th 1954 aged 55 years also Florie dearly loved wife of Joseph Wood daughter of Alfred and Annie Barraclough and sister of Charlie who died Nov 9th 1950 aged 67 years -- also on side stone, Maurice Barraclough the dearly loved husband of Helen died June 9th 1981 aged 74 years Helliwell Barraclough 1888-1936 also Rhoda wife of the above 1875-1975 both sadly missed.
