Seen on Yorksgen, and sent to me by Julie. Thanks. :) Linda Barraclough Briagolong, Victoria, Australia Listowner: BARRACLOUGH-L e-mail: [email protected] ============================================================ I have searched for information re the widow Sarah Hague, but had no luck. I'll surely keep my eye out as I look for others. I did find the following that might interest you: They are a few random bits from "The Yorkshire Genealogist VOL I, 1888" As part of a long (15 pages) list of APPLEYARD family vital statistics on Page 123: "Samuel APPLEYARD married secondly, August 1718, Ellen Barraclough and had by her a daughter, Susanna, who died at Sowerby, 15 September 1780." Page 171,172: "BARRACLOUGH - Mr. Thomas Barraclough of 8 King Street, Manchester, has issued a circular inviting any person interested in this old Yorkshire name, (appearing as Baroclag' in 1379, Beryclife, Barrcliff, and all forms of Barrowcluff) to send him materials for a family history. Remember that every little bit helps, and if you can write the addresses of any of the name on a post card, and send it to him, great assistance may result. We have about 200 extracts from Halifax Registers for him. " Ed." Page 212: "Catherine Sunderland, b. at Rogerthorpe, bapt. 27 October, 1720; mar. 28 Feb. , William Barraclough, no issue." That second one looks like a pre electronics age Yorksgen! Wish it had a followup with some of the information Thomas may have received, but unfortunately it does not. Shallop, Bill POTTS near Orlando
