g'day folks I'm the descendent of a marriage between Snowdon BARRACLOUGH (aged 24, -> dob c 1842) and Fanny LUMB (aged 23, dau of Thomas LUMB, millwright), 22 Oct 1866 at Leeds. His occupation was given as 'Grocer, Tamworth Street' and he was the son of Joseph P BARRACLOUGH. Their daughter Ruth Mary (b 1868, Hull) became my great grandmother. According to the last of her children (recently died, unfortunately), there were at least two sisters (aunts, to Delia), Charlotte and Martha (Millie), but that is all that is known. I have only fairly recently been sent the marriage certificate with ages, etc., and haven't yet had a chance to follow this up. Possibly one of you may have come across some of these names before? Or a SNOWDON/BARRACLOUGH marriage? (seems like a good lead <g>). Ruth married Patrick Lee in Hull in 1888. Place of residence was given as 46 Strickland Street. One of the 'family legends' is that "her father owned the biggest hardware store in town". Hope some, somewhere, has a like to this limb <g>. ... Maurreen
