Dear Kim and Others, Kim, thanks for posting your Barraclough monumental inscriptions. I was interested in the number of people from Wyke, where I believe my Jeremiah Barraclough came from. This suggested that maybe you or someone else on the list might have checked the Birstall Parish Records, which include Wyke, and might know whether any exist for 1759-1812. I decided to order the ones from the 1790's from the LDS yesterday to try to find his christening record and was disapppointed (to say the least!) to see that there are no films listed for those years, although there are ones for the years before and after this period. Does anyone happen to know whether these records are available somewhere? And if not (just out of curiosity) what happened to them? Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this.
